Press X + Circle to free your lure.Or, if you have the Bass Landing controller hit the bottom button.

*Move Without Wasting Time

To move without wasting time simply pause the game in either free fishing or tournament.Go to map on the selection screen, click on move and position your boat where you want it.Press X you will be moved to where you want.
